Ministry Opportunities

At our baptism, God gave us unique talents, interests, abilities and purpose. We are to use these gifts in service to one another, those in need, our broader community and world. If you would like to participate in any of the following ministries, please contact us at 651.639.8888.

Welcomers – Greet new parishioners to familiarize them with our parish. Scheduled on a monthly basis after masses. 

Loaves & Fishes – Prepare and serve evening meal at Dorothy Day on the second Tuesday of each month. 

Social Justice Committee – Empowering and educating the parish community on social issues of legislative advocacy, life issues, economic justice, children’s issues, housing and environment. 

Leisure Center – A senior weekly social/ecumenical gathering. Lunch, entertainment and sharing of talents each Wednesday at St. Anthony Park United Methodist Church. 
  
Karen Immigrant Family Support – Assist immigrant families from Burma in getting to know how to live in the United States and Roseville.  Support and training provided.

Bloodmobile – Help with telephoning, greeting and hospitality at annual blood drive.

Social Connections Committee - Organizes parish social activities and events. 

Rummage Sale – Help collect, set-up, take down and sell various items

Habitat for Humanity - Work on construction site or prepare food for workers at annual Habitat Project. 

Parish Library - Organize and maintain materials in parish resource library.

Parish Administration:

Parish Council Nominee – Advise Pastor on parish pastoral matters. Meets the third Thursday of each month. 
 
Finance Council – Advise the Pastor on financial matters of the parish. Meets the fourth Thursday of each month. 
 
Money Counters – Monday mornings for one and one-half hours. Credit check required. Scheduled basis. 
 
Stewardship Committee – Promotes a spiritual vision of giving back to God with gratitude in time, talent and treasure

Charitable Investments – Determines recipients of charitable grants. 

Prepare – Married couples meet with engaged couples and review the Prepare Marriage Preparation Instrument. Training provided. 

Telephoning – Make phone contacts for specific parish programs.  
 
Computers - Maintain computers in parish offices, e.g. upgrades.
